Program Description

This program focuses on the strategies for setting and maintaining the course of change, for overcoming resistance and maximizing learning and innovative thinking, and for anticipating and coping with the repercussions of change. The program through various stages of development of learners’ knowledge base covers basic and advanced theoretical concepts and tackles issues through case studies and the use of tools and techniques.

Target Audience

The program targets professionals who have a keen interest in innovation, transformational change, quality and organizational excellence. It is therefore suitable for practicing managers and graduates who seek to specialize in innovation and change management. The program is generically designed to attract graduates from various disciplines including social sciences, physical sciences, engineering, computing and law. The blend of theory and practice will provide learners with options to advise on change and design initiatives in their organizations, and lead change management projects themselves. Graduates can also hope to be able to work as trouble shooters, change agents, performance management coordinators and help their organizations with their drive for excellence and sustainability.

Program Aims

  • The purpose of this program is to provide learners with concepts and methods that will help them be successful managers and leaders of change.
  • The program draws on the latest psychological research and managerial studies on processes of thinking; dynamics of groups, teams, and organizations; corporate culture; and leadership practices.
  • The courses delivered in this program will explore methods for analyzing the organization, the environment, and the goals of change prior to initiating new change efforts. Learners will learn how to create and maintain a workplace and culture that facilitate and sustain change including the benefits of a creative and innovative environment.

  • Develop learners’ abilities and skills of comprehension and synthesizing of how to maintain excellence focus through TQM, BPM, and PM.
  • Develop learners’ knowledge, abilities and skills in developing, and maintaining innovation strategies in organizations
  • Develop learners’ knowledge, abilities and skills in managing effective change strategies in organizations
  • Provide learners with the contemporary knowledge and skills of how to develop consistently effective strategies and systematic approaches to leadership, negotiations and decision making
